Will You Go into the Darkness?

“Our help is in the Name of ADONAI, Maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalms 124:8 TLV
A boy is standing before a dark entrance in the mountainside. He breathes slowly as he knows he has to walk through it. Breathe in. Breathe out. Behind him the sky is bright with white clouds. His home is not to far off, and he imagines the sound of dogs barking in the yard. His mother and father are probably setting the dinner table. His older brother is off on some adventure while his three little brothers are fighting to get the seat next to mom. His smile only last for a moment as he looks into the darkness ahead. Why must he go through there? What is it that is drawing him away from the good of his life? He feels it again. A strong voice calling him forward. He must walk through this valley! He has no other choice. He was called. He closes his eyes and prays to the One who sent him. “I know where I must go. I know what I must do. Do not forsake me or leave me. Stay close to me. Make me brave! Give me courage!” The boy opens his eyes, takes a final deep breath, and charges forward into the darkness.
Today I pray that you are like the boy in the story. You know the goodness of God. You know the gifts that He has given you. You know where you come from. But now you hear His calling, and you go. You go into the darkness before you because you were called. You do not know what to expect except He promised to be with you. So you go forward. You are brave. You are courageous. Shine the light within you!

Jesus, You made me brave. It is a dark world out there. Sometimes even going to the store is like entering a dark cave. There are so many people that are lost and broken. Send me to them. Let me be the one with the message. I will carry Your Gospel forth. Send me, LORD. Amen.
Be blessed and know that you are loved by YeHoVaH through Messiah Yeshua and the Ruach ha-Kodesh lives within you.

Amen
